What is your choice?

10 Jun What is your choice?

Life is full of choices and as human, we are blessed to think and make the most suitable choice for oneself. Only catch is, if it fails, we simply pass-on the ownership to others (human & above) !.

About two decades before, when I completed my higher secondary education, was advised to join a college and pursue B.Com. While schooling was a less commercial affair, graduation did require some funding. So, the choice came to – a) taking up a part time job and b) go to evening college. But then, for a school pass-out to get a part-time job, which can pay fees and provide flexibility to join the class at 4.00 pm (everyday) is not easy. So, the options become narrow and had to choose between (a) or (b). And I chose (a) and continued the education through correspondence.

Is it right? wise?. Could have been better?. Yes. Some other person would have thought and taken a different choice. But, every choice got its own benefits and setback. Once you are ready to accept both, yours is always the RIGHT choice.

As a matter of fact, I did regret for the above choice – ONCE, when a company cancelled the offer letter given to me – stating, “ you do not have a full time graduation, and as per company policy, we need one”. But then, the world was wide open for me to explore, further.

All of us go through number of such situations in life, which demand us to make a choice. And if it involves more human, the complexity increase multifold, as everyone will have his/her experience + opinion + choice to share. But, if the baton is handed over to you to make a choice, stick to your views and opinion alone.

Please do listen to the experience share of others (i.e. just the facts of past), but do not get influenced. Reason is not to discount their views, but to make you as the sole owner of the final decision. And when you are both responsible and accountable, you shall only work towards making your choice, successful.

Recently, gone through an interesting situation. It was a monthly fasting day (the theory is to give a good rest to your metabolism for a whole day – and a small meal at the end of the day – feels like gift, well earned!) and got a call from Blood bank in the morning for donation – at the earliest. At the outset, this is not a complicated situation, but if you add social elements & other tasks in hand on that day – the decision making become tricky.

I made my choice and honored both, with preventive steps.

At the end of the day, it is YOUR choice and you have full right to rejoice or rant.
